The B. F. Saul Company concentrates on ownership, development, and construction of commercial real estate.
The internship will be a 10-week role supporting the Internal Audit department in several areas, including reviewing and documenting key business processes for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and executing testing for operational audits across the real estate and hotel divisions under the guidance of the Vice President of Internal Audit.
\n- Assist with performing walkthroughs and testing, including the test of design and operating effectiveness for internal controls over financial reporting
- Assist with executing testing per the audit work program for operational audits across divisions and special projects
- Prepare clear, concise work papers that have definitive conclusions and follow documentation standards
- Identify and document audit observations and recommendations for improvement
- A current student or recent graduate of an Accounting or Finance program from an accredited college or university preferred
- Minimum of 10 weeks, full time (up to 37.5 hours per week)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to be resourceful while completing tasks and projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Desire to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
