Butler leases restaurants inside of full-service hotels, taking over front-of-house operations while transforming back-of-house space into a delivery hub for virtual room service and catering to nearby limited and select service hotels. Currently serving over 250 hotels and 40,000 keys in NYC, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, Denver, and San Francisco, Butler will expand to ten additional markets by the end of 2022.
About the Role
The primary role of the Acquisition Associate is to support the generation of new business opportunities for Butler's growing real estate portfolio, helping to drive all aspects of the deal process from lead generation to lease execution.
The Acquisitions Associate is based in NYC and works from the Butler HQ in NoMad. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Perform Market research and analysis to assist the development of new market expansion strategy for dozens of new hotel restaurants across the United States
- Optimize sourcing productivity of Senior Acquisitions Team Members.
- Manage due diligence components of prospective deals
- Coordinate with internal teams including operations, sales, brand, marketing, and finance to produce materials that support all aspects of the deal process
- Model and underwrite new hub opportunities as well as draft Letters of Intent
- Coordinate key components of lease execution including the signature/countersignature of lease agreements, security deposit set up and issuance of occupancy insurance
- Maintain weekly and monthly reports, including preparation of ad hoc reports
- Work across teams to support internal integration of company-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- 2 years relevant professional experience preferred, including roles in commercial real estate acquisitions, asset management and/or hospitality real estate development
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
- Advanced real estate modeling experience
- Strong quantitative and technical/computer skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of hotel Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, hospitality, finance
- A true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks with limited supervision
- Highly Analytical and excelled attention to detail
- A desire to work in a team environment while understanding the opportunity to move vertically
