We are currently seeking an HVAC DX System Installation Foreman for project-based work in the Marco Island to Venice, Florida area.
The HVAC DX System Installation Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of work crews who are engaged in the installation of HVAC mechanical products and equipment.
Throughout the project, the HVAC DX System Installation Foreman will be relied on to take personal ownership of upholding the values for which we are known : quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities :
- Supervises and coordinates tradesman and crew activities including but not limited to the installation of mechanical systems on the job site
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, submittals, job orders, and company policies as needed for area supervision while enforcing all safety rules, regulations, and laws
- Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet the construction schedule using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel by studying schedule and estimating labor requirements for job completion
- Analyzes and resolves work-related / jobsite related problems
- Maintains time records of assigned personnel
- Upholds an active role in the success and growth of each assigned personnel
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of HAVC mechanical equipment and installation practices including but not limited to maintaining skillful use of piping activities and related tools and machines
- Ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, schematics, and blueprints
- Capability to evaluate information using measurable standards
- Holds a minimum of a Type II EPA Certification
- Holds a current and valid Drivers License
- Possesses proficient written and verbal communication skills, detailed organizational skills, and accurately calculates construction / shop math
- Completion of an Apprenticeship program with earned Journeyman designation, required
- Ability to use software for calendars, planning, and workflow processes
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs / ladders, reach overhead, and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Controlled dexterity of fingers and hands (to include the use of mechanical substitutions)
- Safety Awareness :
B&I Contractors makes safety a priority for all roles . The HVAC DX System Installation Foreman executes all tasks in a safe manner according to safe work practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn at all times upon entering the jobsite areas requiring stated PPE and when required by specific tasks.
HVAC DX System Installation Foreman will be trained on OSHA 10 and / or OSHA 30 as required. DPAS training is required for all HVAC DX System Installation Foreman traveling to worksites.
The HVAC DX System Installation Foreman will take personal ownership and responsibility for receiving all pertinent PPE and safety training and wears PPE as necessary and executes safe working practices, always.
