A new bakery shop in Bay Area is seeking an experienced Head Pâtissier (Head Pastry Chef) to prepare a variety of pastries and desserts. This long-term position is available for the dedicated and focused pastry chefs that are looking for new challenges and future growth. Our bakery will be opening in the fall of 2022 and our goal is to open 10 stores in California (5 each in Northern and Southern California) over the next few years
Responsibilities
- Menu development including seasonal offerings.
- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods following recipes
- Decorate and present pastries and baked goods to impress our customers
- Maintain a clean production area
- Ensure all products are served in the highest quality
- Monitor day-to-day operation of baking staff
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in pastry production
- Attention to details of food quality, preparation, and presentation
- Meticulous about proper food safety and sanitation practices
- In dept knowledge of baking techniques and baking ingredients
- Ability to communicate and work as a team
- Understand proper use of all baking equipment
- Culinary school attendance is a plus
