Where are we?

From April-November, this position will be based in Oldwick, New Jersey. New Jersey is the east coast’s best kept secret, with our headquarters located in the idyllic countryside of Hunterdon County. The area offers easy access to New York City, Philadelphia, and the Jersey Shore along with hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails and endless outdoor activities. Most staff live within a 30 minute drive of the practice and are able to commute without taking major highways. For those raising a family, a number of schools in the area offer award winning school systems. Our facilities house advanced diagnostic imaging services, a rehabilitation center, surgery suites, and a full service hospital.

From December - April, this position, along with a number of our veterinarians and other technicians will relocate to sunny south Florida, practicing in and around Wellington, FL. In the winter months, Wellington is the equine capital of the world, based on the influx of horses to compete in winter show circuits. Our office is located in Loxahatchee, just minutes from Wellington and the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Our 10 acre property houses our imaging center, barn, and office space. Housing is provided.

What will you be doing?

We are looking to immediately fill the role of an ambulatory technician. Ambulatory Technicians assist veterinarians during farm visits in a number of ways: handling horses, setting up veterinary equipment, managing truck inventory, preparing patients for procedures, and billing. This position is well suited for someone with a background working in large equine barn settings, experience assisting veterinarians, or a licensed veterinary technician. We are happy to provide training for the right person; someone who has exceptional horsemanship and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in reproductive services, enjoy working closely with veterinarians and learning something new every day, and will have a passion for providing world class care for our patients and clients. We ask that you are dependable, responsible, and willing to work hard.

The schedule for this position is 5 days a week, for approximately 40-45 hours a week. Flexibility is necessary in order to accommodate staffing needs. The position is full time and based approximately 9 months in Oldwick, NJ and 3 months in Wellington, FL.

Our compensation package includes: hourly compensation $21/hr, health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a student loan repayment program, 401k with 3% employer contribution, profit sharing, Paid Time Off (annual and CE), Employee Assistance Program, Long Term Disability insurance, license and association membership fees, CE annual allowance, logo wear, and discounted veterinary products and services.
