What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Lead position at B4 Church?
We are looking for someone to oversee the After School program, while aligning with the mission of B4Church. Creatively seek out opportunities to prioritize B4’s mission: Behold, Belong, Be, Beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Able to maintain a high level of integrity, discernment and discretion in caring for people and with sensitive information.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills when working with others [namely supervisor, other staff, volunteers, and contractors as required].
- Ability to initiate, organize, complete, and follow up on applicable project work. Able to creatively problem solve if issues arise.
- Self-motivated to study and improve knowledge and skill in areas of responsibility as needed. Teachable.
- Experience working in a computerized office with word processing, database, spreadsheet, and web skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, reports, materials, etc., with speed and accuracy. Willingness and aptitude to learn and use specialized computer programs & applications.
- Able to functionally lead others. Required to recruit new volunteers, and coach/give feedback and motivate multiple volunteer teams.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or 3-5 years job relevant progressive experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills required with sensitivity to faith and beliefs in contact with employees, volunteers and congregants.
- Required ability to adapt and flex in response to changing priorities, fluctuating deadlines and interruptions.
- Clear and effective communicator through oral and written formats. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the school district, the families from our communities and their students.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to complete multiple projects assigned in a timely and effective manner, including planning and organizing daily activities for the program.
- Experience working with children and parents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
