Barista

Kitson & Partners is a residential and commercial real estate development company based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and developers of the first solar town in America, Babcock Ranch, a master-planned community consisting of 18,000 acres under development in Southwest Florida. Kitson & Partners also owns and manages 1.6 million square-feet of retail centers in South and Central Florida and has 6.8 million square-feet of commercial entitlements. We have a fulltime opportunity for an experienced Barista to work in a fun environment. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items and providing exceptional customer service to customers and visitors of Curry Creek Outfitters. This position makes the service experience interactive and engaging by enthusiastically sharing knowledge of the Town of Babcock Ranch with customers and by meeting the needs of customers.

Responsibilities include:

· Provides great customer engagement by welcoming customers with a friendly greeting and acknowledgment and proactively establishing rapport with customers about their needs and likes and promoting the products that would best meet their needs.

· Promotes exceptional customer service by serving customers quickly, efficiently, and accurately with orders to prevent delays in service.

· Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers, selling coffee, recommending add-ons, accessories, and supplies and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.

· Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items, accurately explains items to customers and answers any questions customers may have about the menu.

· Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, mochaccino, caffe latte, and cappuccino.

· Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.

· Performs all prescribed opening and closing tasks for the operation.

· Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during hours of operation.

· Maintains sanitation of equipment and keeps equipment operating by following operating and cleaning instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.

· Utilizes POS system for entering orders and accepts cash and charge payments. Protects Babcock assets by following the procedures for loss prevention techniques including cashiering and inventory standards and discount and/or return/waste policies.

· Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations for food handling, food service and proper serving temperatures.

· Cleans equipment and workstation at the end of each shift.

· Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Assists in any other Babcock food service location as needed.

· Other duties may be assigned

· Must have excellent customer relation skills.

· Must have a passion for selling.

· Must be able to communicate effectively.

· Must have the ability to establish and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with coworkers, and guests

· Must be available to work for any required shift: early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, including overtime, to align with operational needs.

Educations and/or Experience:

· High school education

· Professional appearance, behavior, and manners at all time

· Prior Barista or experience working in a similar operation preferred. Prior food and beverage experience helpful.
