MISSION:

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform training duties related to custodial work at Patrick SFB in an efficient and effective manner. Reports to the site project manager.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
- Provide adequate Training for each new hire using Site specific training.
- Training includes:
- job/site orientation
- proper chemical usage
- ordering supplies (to include quantity and frequency)
- restocking of janitor closets and necessary ratios
- safety procedures
- and the like as relevant to individual positions
- Report discrepancies to Project Manager/QA Manager attention.
- Observe and evaluate employees’ work habits. Retrain (or otherwise address) employees having quality, productivity, or other inadequate performance/conduct.
- Contribute to 30 day and annual evaluations of employees through observations of job performance and suggest possible solutions to improve performance.
- Provide updates to site Leadership to assist employees in achieving their goals in reference to job performance, conduct and making suggestions for improvement.
- Assist with other program operational needs, e.g., productivity time studies, SDS training, specialized training, meetings, and any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of related experience
- Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received the COVID-19 vaccine in full by date of hire to be considered for employment (unless otherwise exempted from this policy by an approved medical or religious exemption).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats)
- Effective interpersonal skills. Able to get along with diverse personalities and abilities; is tactful, professional and customer service oriented.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to “think-on-your-feet.”
- Knowledgeable of contract custodial requirements (e.g., performance, safety, etc.)
- Attentive to detail and able to identify discrepancies to contract performance standards.
TRAVEL
No travel is expected for this position.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)
Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 30 pounds. May be required to operate a forklift.
These requirements can be done with or without a reasonable accommodation.
ENVIRONMENTAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Working conditions are predominantly indoors. Infrequently may involve working outdoors with some exposure to heat and inclement weather.
- Will need to use any personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated properly and consistently.
- Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
- Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
- Work at sites may involve driving, and may involve employee transport and use of personal vehicle.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
Availability
- Full Time -
- Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Rate of Pay: $14.10 /hourly
