BACE LLC (BACE) is seeking a Safety Coordinator who will report to the Director of Safety.
BACE is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. PTR helps companies achieve their green initiatives by reducing waste streams and increasing recycling efforts. The company manufactures and services baler, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers.
The Safety Coordinator’s primary role is to support the organization by planning, implementing, and overseeing workplace safety and health procedures as well as guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in coordination with the Director of Safety.
- Support and drive programs and initiatives by encouraging plant team members to be focused on a safety-first environment, while providing positive reinforcement, leading by example and coaching
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and address any safety concerns.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents and make recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Facilitate Safety Topics and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly huddles/ meetings.
· Track and deliver safety training to employees as required with assistance of Corporate Director of Safety
- Promote and participate in employee safety committee.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of environmental, health, and safety management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management or relate field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA 10, OSHA 30)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Hands on approach to problem solving.
- Must be detail oriented, and should have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multi-task, and have strong time management skills.
