Data Analyst

BacklotCars is seeking a Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data Operations team. We’re an online marketplace for auto dealers and our platform is changing the way dealers buy/sell wholesale vehicles. 

This person will partner with all departments to inform and track strategic initiatives with data. You'll move the business forward by working across all parts of the business--including Operations, Product, Tech, and Finance--to make data available and transparent so teams can make data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do:

• Inspire and influence a data-driven culture by partnering and collaborating with stakeholders across teams
• Leverage data to understand users and their product usage, developing insights that apply to product, marketing, and other business strategy.
• Interpret data within the context of business goals and objectives, identify trends, and explore data through a variety of segments and cohorts
• Build and maintain clear, concise, and accurate dashboards, standardize data communication processes, and create actionable reports 
• Improve and automate data tasks and continuously refresh existing data extraction, aggregation, and analytical processes
• Partner with executives, product managers, engineers, marketers, designers to translate data insights into smarter decisions and applications.

What You'll Need:

• 1-3 years experience in product analytics
• Experience or exposure to Domo considered a huge plus
• Programming experience highly preferred (Python, Javascript)
• Extensive experience and passion for data, metrics and dashboards visualizations
• Highly skilled at writing SQL to query relational databases
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Math, Sciences, Engineering)
