POSITION SUMMARY
Badger Alloys is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join its growing organization! As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support to our valued customers, effectively communicating product information, managing sales processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in metal manufacturing and possess strong technical, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. Specific responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing timely responses, communicating clearly and regularly, and conveying technical and commercial information, as required.
- Oversee quoting and estimating processes, working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that projects are feasible and that specifications meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and address any discrepancies, risks, or issues in specification, pricing, and contract terms.
- Understand and respond to customers' specific needs and concerns, identifying the root cause of customer complaints, and developing effective solutions.
- Recognize the design and functionality of various tooling, evaluating the quality and efficiency of existing and new tooling and analyzing the cost benefits of tooling options.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of production processes and provide an assessment of product manufacturability.
- Using customer feedback, identify areas for improvement in products and services.
- Stay abreast of current market trends and pricing strategies in related industries.
- Perform all other duties, as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least three (3) years of sales engineering experience in a foundry or steel manufacturer, is required.
- Must have strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to build rapport with individuals across all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
- Detail-oriented, able to make independent decisions based on application of knowledge and prior experience.
- Team-oriented, ethical, and trustworthy, with the ability to adapt to and embrace change.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
WORK ARRANGEMENTS & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This is a full-time onsite position (office located in Milwaukee, WI).
- Must be able to travel up to 10%, to attend trade shows, conferences, and sales meetings, and visiting customer sites as needed.
