Badger's Market is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team! As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing store profitability.
Duties
- Operations Management:
- Assist in managing all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
- Customer Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Lead by example and foster a customer-centric culture among team members.
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate a team of grocery associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are adequately trained and supported.
- Sales and Merchandising:
- Implement and maintain effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and promote product visibility.
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage throughout the store.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving merchandise.
- Loss Prevention:
- Implement and enforce loss prevention measures to minimize shrink and ensure store security.
- Monitor security cameras and address any suspicious activity.
- Train employees on loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in a grocery or retail environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
