This unique, functional position is part of a dynamic and exciting BAE Systems team: Financial Systems and Solutions. The team is a full business partner delivering trusted, innovative, and bold solutions that support the critical financial business requirements of the Finance/Accounting functions, within the Combat Mission Systems segment of the Platforms and Services Sector.
As the Senior Earned Value Management Systems Integrated Program Management Software Analyst Administrator the selected individual will be responsible for the following:
- Assist with design and phased implementation of Deltek PM Compass for full EV and EV Lite programs.
- Administration and ownership of Deltek PM Compass, including potential outside business hours support for critical production issues or ensuring customer deliverables are met.
- Subject Matter Expert developing system driven solutions to meet complex business requirements or resolve issues for functional responsibility.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications, advising management on new developments and programs.
- Key, trusted member across the EVMS and Program Finance functions.
- Ensuring solutions encompass holistic Business System: People, Processes, and Tools.
- Governance of system and related process changes to ensure enterprise solutions are developed and meet the needs of both CAS segments.
- Develop and/or maintain training and associated documentation.
- First level support for the end-user community.
- Continuously seek and identify opportunities for efficiency and competitiveness.
- Maintain growth mindset, working with management, to leverage near-term and long-term opportunities to expand knowledge and business capabilities across the EVMS discipline (ex. Costing), as well as non-EVMS opportunities within the Bid-to-Cash business stream.
Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Management and 4+ years of experience in DoD environment.
Working knowledge of Deltek Suite of PPM Tools.
Understanding integrated program tools related to EVMS.
Demonstrated progressive EVMS growth.
Ability to effectively utilize all collaborative and communication tools (ex. Skype for Business, WebEx, etc) due to cross functional, site, and business unit nature of responsibilities.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills and ability to perform data forensics.
Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
Ability to function with minimal guidance, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives, approaches, and bias for action.
Effective work/life integration and flexibility as required.
Desire to work transparently with management to ensure strategy for professional growth is established, maintained, and deliver on the strategy.Preferred Skills and Education Techno-functional experience as Subject Matter Expert or Administrator for Deltek suite of EMVS application, in part or whole.
DoD EVMS scheduling and/or costing experience.
