The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a complex network infrastructure. This includes local area and wide area IP-based networks (LAN and WAN).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Possess an active DoD 8140 Intermediate Baseline certification. Certifications shall be one of the following:
  1. GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
  2. The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Security .
• Possess an active CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure and/or certification.
• A minimum of two years of experience leading network engineers and technicians in DoD Operations and Maintenance networks, in the past five years.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in complex WAN troubleshooting for external Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP), European digital transmission format (E1), and the North American T-carrier system format (T1).
• Experience in Multiprotocol Label Switching, Ethernet VPNs, and Software Defined Networking overlays and underlays.
• Experience implementing and providing services for Network Authentication (802.1X).
• Experience with next generation CISCO firewalls, VPN equipment, CISCO Identity Services Engine, Ethernet and Software Defined Data Center Architectures, Virtual Distributed Switching, CISCO Aggregation Service Routers (ASRs), Integrated/Edge Service Routers, and Virtual Switching Systems (VSSs).
• Experience with IP services and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)).
• Experience with network analysis tools (e.g., CISCO Prime Infrastructure, CISCO DNA-Center and SOLARWINDS Network Configuration Manager).
• Experience with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Application Load Balancers, and NetFlow Telemetry.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining networks in a Virtual Machine Software (VMWare) environment.
• Experience in the past five years, in all of the following:
  1. LAN troubleshooting for Ethernet.
  2. Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP).
  3. Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP).
  4. Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
  5. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol.
  6. Internal Border Gateway Protocol (iBGP).

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $124200 - $211100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
