BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of an extensible software framework for integration of tools capable of mission data processing in a Cloud environment and is knowledgeable about network architecture with system analyst skills. Knowledgeable about multiple operating systems (Linux and Windows), networking and Cloud Foundry PaaS implementation on a multi-infrastructure environment. Familiar with AWS and private cloud environments.
Assigned tasks will include the development of Cloud-based infrastructure using current best practices, technical documentation, sprint planning, and close interaction with software and system engineers on the team to achieve program objectives.
The Cloud Engineer will coordinate with the Athena technical team to accomplish program work efforts coordination, documentation of efforts in the Integration Guide and CDRLs, and overall applications integration. Support customer meeting and briefings as requested.
Position may require occasional business travel to customer locations in support of product demonstrations and customer meetings.
Full-time onsite:
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Pay Information:
Salary Range: $114,300 - $194,400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8 year(s) related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications
- Proficient in requirements analysis, documentation, and tracking
- Proficient analyzing technical needs, and technical tasks to achieve Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
- Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
- Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
- Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)
- Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Experience with Cloud computing environments ( e.g., AWS)
- 5 years of system architecture experience with enterprise software systems
- Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.)
- Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect, System Architect, etc.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Subversion, Git, etc.)
- Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes
- Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data
- 5 years of networking
- 3 years of AWS experience
- 3 years of PaaS solution experience
- Top Secret/SCI w/Poly
