Systems Analyst

Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) located at the US Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. The successful candidate will serve as a lead Systems Analyst for HPC engineering and operations, and will liaison with senior government personnel supporting critical national DoD HPC systems.

Work will encompass developing computer systems specifications and requirements that address requirements and that fit with HPC system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for new and/or existing systems; participation in technical forums; and representing our company in joint meetings with the customer on HPC technical topics.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
2 years’ experience in various HPC systems or HPC technologies such as:
o Cray/Cray EX, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or custom architectures
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Linux variants operating systems (OS)
o InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects
o Portable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers
o Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs
o Nvidia graphic processing units (GPU)s
