Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect to join our program supporting a key government customer in a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience. This program delivers legacy and cloud-based engineering services with modern technology solutions. As a mission-focused Architect, you will be expected to:
Recognize the issue(s), identify the facts, define additional data that would be helpful, make assumptions as necessary, determine alternative approaches, evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, alter assumptions and rework solutions, and reflect on lessons learned.
We are actively seeking to fill a position within this job category with an experience level starting at 11 years. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree are preferred but experience can substitute for that. Additional skill include:
- Significant experience with Python, Perl, Javascript and Systems Design
- Deep understanding of Cloud technologies enabling you to design solutions
- Ability to provide strategic direction, roadmap and standard
- Creating and maintaining architecture design and standards within the models
- Ability to develop high-level system specifications
- Ability to provide Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) support
- Ability to collaborate with Engineers regarding design solutions
- Evaluate current and emerging technologies identifying solution impact
- Ability to work independently and also as a team, and possess an aptitude for getting things done
- Develop future technology and architectural advancements to support the customers’ vision and goals
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, Chef, etc.)
- Knowledge of Containers (e.g., Dockers, Kubernetes, Podman, RKE2)
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps
- Knowledge of web applications and frameworks (e.g., Ruby, Rails, Django, etc.)
- Ability to design architecture to transition from legacy to modernized operations
- Knowledge of Agile development principle
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code
- Understanding of Apache, JBoss, Docker and PostgreSQL
- Understanding of Geospatial Data
- Ability to work within a team in a fast-moving environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
