Job Description
Baer is looking for 508 Tester for a 9 month Federal Remote Project.
Title: 508 Tester
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 9 months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)
Description:
- Plan, create, and execute test cases for Section 508 Compliance testing.
- Record problems, defects identified during testing and retest problems after they are resolved by the development team.
- Regularly update technical and business teams as to plans, progress, and issues.
- Adherence to agile and attendance at daily scrum to discuss accomplishments, plans, and blockers.
- Communicate the status of testing, including reporting of overall test results.
- Verify compliance with 508 accessibility standards.
- Identify and suggest potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 standards as well as compliance with the Section 508 and other accessibility related laws.
- Identify and significantly contribute, where appropriate, to team initiatives.
- Test for Section 508 compliance using JAWS.
Requirements:
- Experience in Section 508 Compliance testing
- Must have working knowledge of and experience with standard 508 testing tools (i.e. JAWS, Web Accessibility Tool Bar, Inspect. Etc.). JAWS preferred.
- Must have knowledge on Defect Management processes; preferably hands on experience with Defect Management Tools
- Must have prior experience in Manual, Functional Testing
- Bachelor’s Degree
