Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Do you want to help grow the outdoor movement for a community that strongly supports all types of outdoor activities? The Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District is seeking a qualified person with a passion for the outdoors and a desire to bring the outdoor industry to our community. We have a well-established department that needs an individual who can bring our outdoor programs to another level.
Responsibilities: Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive array of outdoor recreation, adventure, and environmental education programming for all ages and skills. Programs include, but are not limited to, wilderness, paddling, sailing, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and educational experiences: single-day, multi-day, weekly expeditions, activities, classes, and camps for youth and adults.
Provide oversight and is responsible for all programs, staff, and budget administration. Develop, maintain, and enhance programs and events and provide guidance and direction to staff. This position requires significant interaction with internal and external resources, including but not limited to staff, volunteers, vendors, contractors, participants, regional partners, and the public.
Compensation: 12-step salary scale starting at $5,303/month. Starting wage DOE.
