The Finance Data & Analytics team is growing to support the increasing demand for data and analytical reporting. Reporting to the Technology & Data Analytics Manager, the Finance Data Analyst will serve as an extension of the team while collaborating with teams and individuals across the department to gather requirements and build out solutions to further enhance the department’s data and analytics capabilities.

As a Finance Data Analyst, Your Responsibilities Will Include
General Duties
- Challenge yourself to learn new skills and evolve as technology advances
- Utilize creative thinking and innovative skills to help identify and address critical business problems and opportunities
- Establish yourself as a trusted resource to all teams within Finance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a Finance Data Analytics Intern
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with our partners on the IT Data Team and within business units
- Gather and document requirements for dashboards, reports, and potential process automations
- Meet with department leaders to discuss existing processes and identify improvement, enhancement, and automation opportunities
- Build reports, dashboards, processes, etc. as defined by requirements
- Use tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Excel, SSRS and others to develop solutions which increase Finance’s ability to provide meaningful data back to our business partners
- Build and execute test plans to validate accuracy of all new development, enhancements, and updates
- Serve as a steward of the data that is used by Finance to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Partner with the Technology and Data Analytics Manager on reviewing the Finance specific elements targeted for use in our data hub to ensure alignment to departmental needs
- Maintain and support all items under the purview of the Finance Data Analytics team to ensure immediate and long-term success of the items built by the Finance Data Analytics team
- Develop training materials to be utilized by associates to help empower a self-service model
- Conduct training sessions for Finance Associates as needed
- Other tasks as assigned by the Technology & Data Analytics Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields
- 0-3 years of Financial Industry experience
- Experience with data analysis, data profiling, data modeling, SQL knowledge is helpful, but not a requirement
- Familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Have a passion for data, an appetite for continuous learning, and possess a natural curiosity in understanding how data and technology can be used to solve business problems
- Ability to manage a backlog of work items and prioritize appropriately while working individually or as a team
- Detail oriented and exhibits organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
