POSITION OVERVIEW The Chemical Reactor Operator in our LRU division will be responsible for the safe operation of multiple batch process resole reactors using Delta V process distributive control systems (DCS) and related SAP functions. The Chemical Reactor Operator will also be responsible for process monitoring of the Formaldehyde unit when the Formaldehyde Operator is out of control room.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESInclude, but are not limited to, the following:Process equipment operationOperate multiple resole reactorsStorage Tank Farm transfersPerform in-process and final product testingShippingLoading of finished product to tank trucks, totes and drums from reactorMiscellaneousPerform inventory and cycle counting activities.Perform simple mechanical troubleshooting.Maintain safe and clean work environment.Perform weekly safety shower inspections.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSJob Qualifications & Experience2 years chemical plant experienceMust be willing and qualified to wear a respiratorEducationHigh School diploma or equivalentSpecial Needs/ Special Skills/Other Must be HazMat certified or willing and able to become certifiedTeam player with strong work ethicAbility to work independentlyGood verbal and written communicationsBasic computer skills and aptitude to improveAptitude to understand technical conceptsBENEFITS401k with company match Medical, dental and vision insuranceCompany paid basic life and AD&DNo waiting period for benefits or paid time offPaid vacation and 11 paid holidaysPaid Parental leave
