Partner with the best
Operates the coating booth applying thermal spray to complex gas turbine components. Using OEM drawings & specifications while maintaining safety as the top priority. Performs quality inspections throughout the coating process meeting all engineering requirements to maintain the highest quality standards.
As a Coating Cell Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Having knowledge of coating operations, coating equipment, fixtures, and parameters for the coating process for various gas turbine components
- Have the ability to prepare, mask, and grit blast components to the appropriate surface finish.
- Have the ability to coat parts both via plasma and HVOF processes with various powders and properly collect all required samples.
- Have the ability to run robotic programs and controls as required.
- Having equipment knowledge to properly maintain the coating booth in top operating condition and possess good troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve any issues.
- Working closely with engineers, repair technicians, and machinists to apply the appropriate amount of coating to meet all requirements.
- Operating forklifts, cranes, and other material-moving equipment.
- Have the ability to perform various other assembly and repair duties in a turbine repair shop when the coating cell is not in use.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have at least 6 years of mechanical experience.
- Have experience with forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools, and power tools needed for assembly.
- Have experience with coating equipment, preferably gas turbine equipment.
- Have in-depth knowledge of gas turbines.
