The Buyer will source, negotiate and buy materials and services, considering price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
As an Sourcing Specialist - Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating purchase orders, obtaining supplier confirmations, expedite materials to meet customer requirements
- Following-up on past due items, reconcile supplier invoice issues, escalate all potential shortages to monthly sales commitments
- Maintaining material and vendor data maintenance items, and all other duties assigned by the Department Manager
- Participating in daily and weekly production meetings to provide materials support and communication of material shortage items
- Projecting future monthly & quarterly material impacts
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 1 - 3 years of experience in Buying/Sourcing
- Possess a Bachelor's education (or a High School Diploma with previous experience in a Buyer position)
- Have experience in Microsoft Excel, critical thinking, data analysis, and a proactive & driven approach to cross-functional, collaborative problem-solving
