Position Summary:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you possess a general understanding of accounting principles with at least 1 year of accounting training or experience and have a good understanding of the day- to-day functions of accounts receivable processes. You can communicate effectively and deliver results as required under direct supervision.
**Minimal weekly local travel required **
What you will do in this role:
- Review accuracy of new resident account setup and billing changes in the accounting system
- Process resident billbacks for ancillary services
- Deposit cash to the bank, posting deposits to the general ledger, providing A/R analysis and reconciling accounts receivable and revenue at the end of the month
- Generate and deliver resident monthly statements, rate increase renewals, and annual tax letters
- Respond to resident billing inquires and requests
- Assist in other ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested
You Have:
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
- At least 1 year of AR accounting experience
- Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards
- Strong work ethic, curiosity, flexibility and/or creative problem solving/process improvement
- Computer skills with some knowledge in Yardi and Microsoft Windows Office Applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
