The Security and Mission Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit provides discriminating support to the business to ensure success. We focus on threat identification, risk assessment, and mitigation while improving the efficiency of the business through effective governance and analysis of process, data and overall business knowledge.
Security Manager
To provide program security management in support of Ball Aerospace programs requiring special security processes and procedures (SAP, SCI, and collateral), to include personnel, physical, technical, information, and industrial security.
What You’ll Do:
Assist senior leadership in developing strategic direction for Aerospace Security and lead employees and the company into innovative and new directions to accomplish the organization’s goals.- Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statues, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.
- Select, motivate and counsel employees; execute employee education and training; administer salary and budget programs; ensure employee safety; plan, organize, integrate and measure work performed within the department.
- Interface with external and internal customers to ensure contractual security requirements are in a format they can understand and properly implement. Prepare and present functional metrics (personnel access processing, security incidents, etc.) that demonstrate value and support business processes.
- Provide special security administration and management in accordance with USG contractual security requirements.
- Manage the government -sponsored polygraph program.
- Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protect classified information.
- Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Maintain customer audit readiness, assist customers with inspections, and ensure corrective actions are implemented, as required.
- Direct the preparation and maintenance of required documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations. Ensure proper handling and accountability of required classified materials.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
Hybrid Work Environment: This position may be performed working from both the office and another location, while typically requiring working in the office less than 3 days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
