Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall administration of risk and safety at Bally’s Black Hawk, Arapahoe Park and Havana Park
- Develop and implement a proactive robust safety management system that incorporates clear policies and procedures for planning and implementing OSHA compliance and risk assessment/control processes.
- Tracks all risk and safety management program costs for the property; plans, develops, implements, and trains employees on company safety programs and maintains appropriate records on all property training
- Coordinate casualty claims (Work Comp, GL, Racing) including maintenance of all files, monitoring, auditing, and overseeing third-party administrative claims, reviewing, and approving reserve and reserve changes within their authority, pursue quick and efficient file closures and overall services to ensure that all claims are administered according to company policy and carrier requirements.
- Maintain, analyze, and monitor workers’ compensation claims and costs; assure proper completion and distribution of all necessary paperwork for claims, maintain up to date information on the status of workers’ compensation; communicate with all involved parties to ensure effective and efficient administration of each claim.
- Oversee all safety issues associated with equipment changes to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and that all safety issues are resolved prior to implementation.
- Coordinate all vendors, leaseholders, subcontractors, and transportation services to ensure their insurance is in accordance with company policy and that they have current Certificates of Insurance.
- Coordinate the Safety Committee agenda meetings and activities, including safety audits, new equipment safety reviews, and safety training.
- Develop and Manage Safety Training Programs and implementation of Safety Policies ensuring ongoing employee safety training in key topic areas.
- Liaise between claims adjusters to provide information regarding claims, litigation, and settlement decisions.
- Develop and oversees property’s return to work program.
- Interfaces with occupational health care providers
- Oversees employee safety committees and safety awareness/promotion campaigns.
- Ensures that the property is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal (OSHA) Occupational Safety and Health Administration codes and regulations.
- Conducts regular programmed safety inspections for the purpose of hazard identification and fire and life safety audits.
