The Role:
Responsible for accurately recording audits daily totals in a timely manner, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the revenue accounting operation of the Finance Department.
Responsibilities:
Document Policies & Procedures and prepare checklists for all audits.
Identify/determine other areas/processes that should require a daily audit of reported revenues and supporting documentation. Develop the daily audits, document the policies and procedures, train, and implement audits.
Review journal entries and approve the posting of entries to the General Ledger.
Reconcile account balances at each month’s end ensuring that account balances are properly supported by the source information.
Prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary to correct errors during posting or restate account balances based on estimates; recognize timing differences between periods etc.
Prepare, review, and post month-end statistical journal entries.
Establish and/or modify revenue auditor’s schedules, train auditors, and evaluate the auditors’ job performance.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and/or extensive experience and knowledge of gaming and non-gaming revenue, department accounting controls and procedures
5 years of supervisory experience
Use of 10-key adding machine and computer
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English
Must have basic math skills
Must be able to communicate with others
Must have decision-making capabilities, experience in directing others, and planning
