ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous beverage service in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Take beverage orders from guest and Cocktail Servers
- Have thorough knowledge of mixology, including current and past trends in cocktails, wine, and beer. Mix drinks in accordance with drink recipes and collecting payment from guest or Cocktail Must settle all payment using cash register receipts.
- Ensure cleanliness of the beverage outlet as well as all supplies and equipment used to perform job duties.
- Count bank at beginning and end of shift, placing monies into cash register at beginning of shift.
- Prepare paperwork at end of shift, separating original bank from days receipts. Paperwork and Daily receipts are turned into the Auditing Department. Bank is secured in individual lock vaults.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a bar, lounge, or nightclub. Must possess SNHD Health card and Alcohol Awareness card.
- Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift, including but not limited to bending, reaching and kneeling.
- Ability to read and write and communicate in English. Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
- Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
