What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Foreman position at Bamco Inc.?
Shop Foreman - Very busy 60 man sheet metal/carpentry fabrication shop looking to add a foreman to the team. Specific background in our trade is not critical as we look to hire "good athletes" and then train/develop them to fit our position names. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual.
Pay range $25-$40/hr.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of fabricators
- Drive production
- Reallocate manpower to tasks as needed
- Quality control
- Daily set up and shut down/clean up of crew
- Kick butt/show love as needed
- Scheduling and assign tasks
Qualification requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience working in sheet metal or wood working shop
- Must be able to read shop fabrication cards/drawings
- Valid drivers license
- Speaking some Spanish a plus
- Forklift operators license a plus
- Knowledge of lasers, press brakes, shear, folding machines, CNC machines a plus
- Must be a good communicator
