Job Description:
Join the exciting area of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience! An opportunity for an Exercise Planner within the Enterprise Resilience Exercise team is open. Exercises are used to stress and evaluate related plans and playbooks created by the Front Line Units and Control Functions to discover areas of opportunity and ensure appropriate execution in times of crisis. Through exercises, Front Line Units and Control Functions are able to improve their readiness to withstand a disruption.
The Enterprise Resilience Exercise Planner is responsible for strengthening the Bank's resiliency capabilities by planning, conducting and evaluating exercises. Provides consulting on overall global Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Service and Operational Resiliency, and Global Resolution and Recovery Planning. Role responsibilities include surfacing issues affecting resiliency, Facilitates cross-functional activities and discussion groups to strategize stressing and evaluating effectiveness of plans and teams, extensively collaborates with domestic and regional partners, works with design teams to facilitate and execute the scope and deliverables, to include regulatory-related initiatives.
The Exercise Planner will play a key role in effectively planning, designing, scheduling, and managing enterprise exercises in relation to enterprise stress scenarios (financial and non-financial). This role will need a firm understanding of rules and regulations that govern business continuity, operational resilience, as well as global recovery and resolution, to enable effective planning and execution. Works with project teams to improve operational resiliency.
Required Skills:
Strong Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Management and/or Crisis Management experience in the banking/financial services sector
Highly organized, ability to simultaneously prioritize tasks and handle numerous time-sensitive issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
Experience developing high quality presentations
Strong meeting facilitation skills; comfortable leading discussions consisting of multiple organizational levels
Results oriented, independently driven, self-motivator
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Identifies linkages and thinks "enterprise" across business lines and geographies
Embraces and drives changes
Desired Skills:
Degree in Emergency Response/Crisis Management/Business Continuity; Business Continuity Certification (BCI or DRII certification), or equivalent in experience.
Prior response and/or exercise management and facilitation experience
Prior project management experience
Consulting experience helpful
