Job Description:
Position Summary
- Responsible for development of data integration solutions using IBM IIS v11.7 on Linux Platform. This position requires a strong problem solving / analytical skills, communication skills to help address complex business requirements. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Proficient in ETL Development using IBM IIS DataStage PX 11.x
- Strong Database SQL skills and exposure to Unix/Linux based platform
- Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Design & develop the Data Integration frameworks.
- Design and develop Datastage, Quality Stage v11 client and server components
- Assimilate and understand the DataStage application and ETL Grid architecture and develop ETL components that properly integrate with it
- Experience in using Bitbucket and CICD experience.
- Develop code that promotes reusability, maintainability and good, scalable performance.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor development resources.
- Taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints
- Work closely with the Onsite team to ensure ETL jobs are designed appropriately to meet the requirements
- Ensures that the frameworks are implemented consistently across all jobs
- Establishes and enforces standards for code reviews and unit test cases
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization / tuning of ETL jobs
- Must be proficient in ETL processes and database ingestion/provisioning methods
- Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness and integrity
- Must be able to investigate and resolve ETL processes issues.
- Experience in meta data driven ingestion frameworks.
- Candidate should be very strong experience in SQL / advance SQL and Linux/C scripting
- Strong sense of responsibility and urgency; resourceful, strong problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure.
- Very strong written and verbal skill. Also, able to communicate clearly with the Onsite team/LOB partners.
