Job Description:
The GT Horizontal Issues - Program Manager role is part of the Global Technology BMRC organization. The team is accountable for helping to identify and oversee GT horizontal issues as they are identified by the organization, 2nd or 3rd line partners or through regulatory exams. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization focused on thoughtful, innovative horizontal issues management. The ideal candidate will have experience with Bank of America's audit and issue management processes, tools and routines. Were looking for a Horizontal Issues Program Manager who wants to make a huge impact on the foundation of our horizontal issues management process; someone who is excited to help take our horizontal issues management practices to the next level.
This role is a true hybrid. Your stakeholders will be Risk and Control Leads from across GT, our senior leaders, 2nd and 3rd line partners as well as the individual issue and action step owners. Responsibilities will include a combination of the following elements:
Provide leadership within a team accountable for overseeing GTs most complex horizontal issues
Build and maintain productive and collaborative partnerships
Manage the governance and oversight for GT horizontal issues, and potentially MRAs, horizontal exams and audits
Manage routines to review all newly opened GT issues for potential horizontal impact and validating that those issues are not duplicative of any existing issues or audits
Support the creation and management of complex project plans with team and stakeholders for remediation of horizontal issues, as necessary
Drive a clear strategy for issue management with early risk reduction of any issues overseen by the horizontal team
Support the creation and management of dashboard and governance reporting
Connect data point, research and other insights into a clear articulation of themes and potential common risks across GT teams
Facilitate remediation and action plan tracking and reporting for horizontal issues
Assist executive leaders with activities related to Horizontal exams, audits and issues
Assist in the documentation and ongoing maintenance of processes owned by the team
Develop domain expertise in your aligned areas
Be an advocate for your areas of focus within the organization, serving as the voice of your customers

Required Skills & Abilities:
5 years of applicable experience
Results-oriented leader who can achieve results across teams based on trust, credibility, teamwork and knowledge
Demonstrates critical horizontal thinking skills
Exhibits a working knowledge of Bank of America and GT risk management / risk framework, processes, and tools; ability to identify, debate and escalate risk to support early risk reduction
Experience with risk and issues management
Ability to work both independently and as a team member, working across all levels of the organization on complex problems
Good sense of judgment, knows when to escalate and how to manage expectations
Demonstrates Program and Project Management experience with an ability to create and manage effective project plans
Possesses strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to assess data and reporting for trends and solutions
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate at an executive level
Possesses an endless curiosity and excitement to explore in pursuit of a question or hypothesis.
Innate ability to work on concrete goals within tight timelines while given flexibility on how to achieve them
Comfortable with ambiguity while being focused on delivery.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to create executive level presentations, utilize data to conduct trend analysis and create meaningful reporting
