GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, performance management, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Generalist must be sensitive to business needs and employee goodwill.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, performance evaluations and aptitude exams and certifications.

2. Supports HR Management in developing and implementing training programs.

3. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Responsible for the setup and maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System.

4. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

{C}5. Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.


{C}6. Track, create, and communicate all engagement activities. Engage and motivate staff to improve their involvement and shape and influence the organization's direction.


7. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to time tracking and attendance; paid time off and leave; assist with benefits and open enrollment; company surveys and stay/exit interviews; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

8. Handles first-level/routine employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

9. Performs routine clerical work and office tasks for the department to include ordering and tracking of supplies and equipment.

10. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

11. Serve as backup for the HR Manager where appropriate.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum two years human resources experience required

2. Authorization to work in the United States.

3. Reliable transportation.

4. Ability to read, write, and speak using the English Language.

5. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.

8. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

9. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

11. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 3-5 years HR experience

2. Two years of HR experience in the Banking field

3. SHRM/HRCI Certification

14. Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. Ability to hear other employees and customers on the telephone and in person.
15. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
16. Body and motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another
17. Digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination in the operation of office equipment
18. Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
19. Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Physical Requirements

Light work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Light to moderate lifting and carrying of coin, supplies, files, etc.


Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.


Mental

1. Capable of learning to use typical office equipment
2. Performing simple to moderately complex mathematical calculations
