Responsibilities & Duties
- Install, configure, and manage production and non-production SQL server instances.
- Create and maintain database standards and procedures.
- Provide highly available database clusters in support of mission critical applications
- Create and maintain database maintenance plans to health check, backup and optimize databases.
- Improve performance of SQL code by identifying inefficiencies and recommending alternatives to reduce system resource utilization.
- Review and manage database security and enforce data access policies.
- Apply regular server patches, upgrades, and application migration support for all data servers.
- Deploy database changes to production.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Enforce documentation guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor performance, optimize, and improve database, batch jobs/ETL operations.
- Configure and support Data Warehouse components such as ETL and Reporting environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Data Warehouse Architect to maintain and optimize data warehouse, data marts, and data models.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, operations, management, or a related field
- 7 years of relational database experience in a complex, enterprise environment.
- 7 years of database administration experience with the knowledge and ability to perform all the basic database management skills of database administration.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR), Data Encryption options for SQL Server.
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
- Solid T-SQL knowledge SQL query development using MS SQL 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 or later
- Thorough understanding of relational databases and data warehouses.
- Experience working with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Ruby, etc.
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft data analytics stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
- Experience in configuring and administering SQL Servers and Data Warehouse platforms on cloud (Azure) environments preferred.
- Ability to use multitude of technologies to automate processing of the similar data structures.
- Ability to learn relevant new technologies without a formal training.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and to work well under pressure.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced teamwork environment and dealing with a variety of people.
- Banking systems experience preferred.
The salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $150,000 bonus benefits
Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
