Summary/Objective

Bankers Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Shared Services team. This team’s primary objective to support and enable the various subsidiaries within the organization. The individual selected to fill this position will primarily be focused on implementing and maintaining cloud and automation solutions to enable and optimize the business. 

Essential Functions

  • Work with technology teams throughout the organization to develop cloud solutions, automation, and ongoing optimization
  • Manage/execute POCs and feasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologies leveraging results to guide business and technology decisions.
  • Continuously migrate solutions that are running on IaaS into PaaS and SaaS solutions  
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and topologies
  • Mange and optimize cloud storage solutions
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineers
  • Follow established processes and procedures in completing assignments
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing conditions and processes
  • Follow industry best practices and complies with regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI, CCPA, etc)
  • Assist in transition to a modern identify management platform
  • Leverage automation solutions (i.e. Power Automate) to automate IT workflows throughout the organization
  • Strong PowerShell scripting background
  • Help determine technical solutions and research new products that will reduce man hours
  • identify and remediate gaps regarding new service packs, firmware upgrades, patches, and other required maintenance that needs to be performed
  • Work with and task resources with Managed Service Providers for functions such as patching, backups, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full time, Monday – Friday.  Hybrid, with cadence depending on applicant.

Required Education and Experience

  • 7 years industry experience in supporting mission critical infrastructure 
  • 4 years deploying/managing cloud-based solutions and automation
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft cloud solution set, including Office 365 and Azure
  • Experience in building cloud automation solutions with solutions such as Power Automate
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Preferred Education and Experience

  • One or more of the following certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Design, or equivalent.
    • Master’s degree in related field
