Description
This role is accountable for sourcing and implementing the procurement process utilizing an ERP system for broad internal purchases ranging from consumables to services and equipment. This position develops and maintains a diverse supply base while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Supports other departments by ensuring a regular and steady inventory of consumables is available at all company locations. Drives Supply Chain projects and initiatives by implementing best practices, procurement tools and negotiation skills.
Requirements
Establish and meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives through effective contracting, while improving internal and external customer satisfaction.
Research and determine sources of supply.
Achieve lowest possible cost for products or services balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
Develop and prepare supplier scorecards for selected suppliers on a quarterly basis or as defined by Manager.
Maintain supplier database, including COIs.
Establish and develop supplier relationships to increase Approved Supplier List.
Identify supplier opportunities and challenges and collaborate to ensure appropriate resolution.
Invoice Customers for purchased services weekly.
Assist with Finance tasks as assigned.
Source and provide recommendation to requesting party.
Issue internal company purchase requisitions to appropriate Manager for approval.
Issue purchase orders and other purchasing documentation to suppliers, verify nomenclature and specifications of purchase requisitions, follows-up and expedites as necessary.
Prepare Requests for Quotes (RFQs) as needed; solicit bids and quotations; review purchase contracts for commitments; recommend target suppliers to Management.
Ensure quotes are delivered with high level of accuracy and in a timely fashion to meet customer’s requirements.
Review purchase orders and contracts for conformance to Corporate Supply Chain and Purchasing procedures and Quality System requirements.
Enter all sales order and issue purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner. Review suppliers’ acknowledgments against orders and advise customer of any necessary changes to customer’s order where applicable.
Review non-conforming material with Quality department and coordinate disposition with the suppliers.
