We are currently seeking an IT Desktop Technician II responsible for providing at-the-elbow fundamental support in East Valley, AZ. As an ideal candidate, you would have past IT desktop support experience, A certification, be a self-starter, a team player, and eager to learn and perform.
In this position, as an IT Desktop Technician II you will assist with technical support to desktop computers/laptops, applications and related technology. This includes performing equipment installation/upgrades, troubleshooting and problem resolution, and preventative maintenance in accordance with standard guidelines and procedures. In this position you will interface with other information technology team members, as well as employees, leaders and physicians on a regular basis to support information technology needs. In this role you will be required to frequently travel to different Banner locations while working a typical Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule with occasional schedule flexibility necessary. Reliable transportation is a must and on-call support are required with some holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports and maintains the desktop and mobile computing environments to ensure high quality customer service. This position is responsible for interfacing with team members within the department, as well as, customers throughout the enterprise in various project assignments and daily duties.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assists customers with installation, configuration, ongoing usability of desktop related endpoints and software complying with given standards and guidelines to include onsite, remote, affiliates and partners.
2. Communicates with customer throughout the lifecycle of the provided service to ensure the customer stays informed.
3. Follows standard procedures to perform desktop troubleshooting, request fulfillment and other support activities, escalating issues to Desktop Tech III, Desktop Tech IV or IT Coordinator as appropriate.
4. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the supported desktop environment.
5. Follows all asset management procedure and guidelines. Ensures order and stock management are maintained.
6. Documents all actions of end-user requests and/or problem resolution using tracking management systems.
7. Conducts needs assessment and provides recommendations through the appropriate investigation of specific customer and departmental computing needs.
8. Performs desktop related duties in project environments.
9. This position is responsible for systems across multiple departments system-wide and requires interactions at all levels of staff and management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or two plus years equivalent working knowledge.
Strong work ethic and initiative. Ability to work well in a team environment across the system. Customer service skills. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of staff and management.
Must be knowledgeable and technically adept in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop, mobile devices and network connectivity. Experience working with Microsoft Office O365 applications.
Variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or combination of education and relevant work experience.
A Certification. Net Certification. General knowledge of a healthcare environment is desirable. Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role. Hands-on experience with Windows OS and mobile platforms. Proven participation in project assignments.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
