Position Summary
We are searching for a Sales Data Analyst to join our Sales Department. This role requires business acumen along with technical skills to develop metrics, reporting, and to standardize how the Banner Sales team communicates results. In this role, your responsibilities will include gathering business needs, provide training, and supporting the needs of Sales management. Join the Banner team to do fulfilling work with amazing team members working toward a common goal.
This position reports to Manager of Global Sales Systems.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Exempt, based on the Professional Exemption
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with Sales management and executives to gather, understand, and define business requirements based on trends and past performance indicators
- Provide sales analytics and support to Sales management with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual results as they compare to past results, current plans, and future expectations.
- Enhance reporting around Point-of-Sale margin analysis for Banner vs the partner channel.
- Develop metrics around special pricing utilization, channel performance against special pricing, analysis of pull through business vs special pricing business by channel partner
- Develop reporting on the dollars and percentage of business run through standard pricing vs special pricing
- Territory performance analysis and channel coverage through the development of key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Partner with Sales leaders to gain a better understanding of investments needed to support the execution of the business strategy
- Being the data expert to ensure data integrity, data mapping, and data analysis efforts to maximize the organization’s ability to make appropriate business decisions
- Working collaboratively with team members to design a solution that will meet the Sales team needs
- Providing and developing ad-hoc and ongoing reporting
- Other duties as assigned

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree or combination of equivalent education and experience
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- Minimum four years experience in general financial accounting or analysis
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications required
- Expert skills in identifying and capturing business requirements
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis, data verification, problem solving, customer service and relationship building desired
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with end-users and colleagues domestically and internationally
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work and drive tasks independently
- Well-organized, efficient, proactive, self-motived, and results driven with the ability to deliver quality and timely results
