Job Description:
Answers all calls for service and answers questions concerning these calls or responds accordingly. Investigates all incidents involving criminal matters, completes an incident report and reports such matters as appropriate to the proper authority. Required to subdue and/or de-escalate high stress, tense situations involving combative person(s) for an unknown period of time. Issue parking violations and assist with traffic control as needed. Enforce or assist in the enforcement of hospital policies and procedures, as directed by administration, in a manner that will protect the legal rights of the hospital and the person involved. Able to assist and complete required fire checks (Fire Extinguishers and Exit Signs on a monthly basis), (Fire doors 1-2 times yearly as directed). Perform other duties as the circumstances dictate or as requested by the supervisor. Follows Hospital and departmental Policies and Procedures. Shall successfully pass use of Force training. (Including Exposure to OC Spray, Pressure Points and Control Tactics, and Expandable baton training on a Bi-Annual Basis).
QUALIFICATIONS –
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Prefer candidate have two (2) years experience in the field of Law Enforcement or Security. College degrees can be substituted for experience on a case-by-case evaluation.
- Must have had previously or successfully pass use of Force training. (Including Exposure to OC Spray, Pressure Points and Control Tactics, and CEW training on a Bi-Annual Basis).
- Must have basic knowledge and understanding of basic computer functions.
