We have been serving our small community and year-round visitors for nearly 10 years.

Who you are: Our Kitchen Porter is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining room areas, including washing pots, pans, dishes, and silverware, as well as maintaining proper sanitization protocols throughout the restaurant.

Kitchen porters are required to be flexible, able to learn and take direction, and work as a team member with both front of house and back of house staff.

What you'll do:

Cleaning and sterilizing countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks

Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and walk-ins

Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards, pans, etc

Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly

Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots, and food mixers

Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items, as needed

Aiding Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed

What we need from you:

1 (one) year of restaurant experience

High school education or equivalent (Preferred)

Flexibility in availability - nights and weekends and 8-hour shifts

A positive attitude

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to details

Ability to be on your feet for several hours at a time

Food handler and alcohol certification
