Job Description
The Server role at Cana is unique, as it’s the main service position on the floor aside from the Bartenders. Our Server Team works together to take care of all guests and provide hospitality for the entire restaurant. This requires Server to aim for excellence and have strong teamwork skills.
This role combines serving food and drinks with presenting our menu to guests in an engaging way. Success in this role depends on having strong skills, paying attention to detail, and communicating well.
Responsibilities
• Learn our menu, including specials and South American cuisine. We’ll provide all the training you need.
• Join in peer-led training to learn about cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee.
• Stay active on the floor, helping with tasks like clearing and setting tables.
• Work with coworkers to enhance the guest experience by helping with all aspects of service.
• Manage your assigned sections, ensuring every guest gets top-notch service.
• Guide, mentor, and motivate your fellow team members.
• Keep your work area clean and organized, following sanitation and hygiene guidelines.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and other beverages.
• Familiarity with classic cocktails and wine.
• Previous experience in a highly-rated restaurant is preferred.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in presentation.
• Strong organizational skills for multitasking.
