Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Albany, NY or in various locations throughout New Hampshire or Maine. Responsibilities will consist of cash management, investment accounting, financial reporting activities and assisting with special projects.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain cash balances and borrowings on a daily basis.
* Record and reconcile daily investments activity.
* Assist in the preparation of all SEC filings including earnings releases, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other forms and reports.
* Prepare journal entries and various reconciliations identifying and resolving issues, if any.
* Provide timely information and assistance to customers (internal and external).
* General backup support within the Accounting/Finance department.
* Participate in special projects within department and/or cross functionally.
* Enthusiastically support the Bank's Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors.
* Adhere to regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act.
* Comprehend and adhere to federal banking regulations in accordance with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust's policies and procedures.
Required Education & Experience:
* Public accounting or relevant experience.
* A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proficient Microsoft Excel skills are required.
* Must have ability to work as a positive team member with critical attention to detail in a fast paced, high volume environment.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively and independently.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel.
* Comfortable working with and quickly learning computer applications.
