Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to provide support to a Navy customer based at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Panama City. The Engineer will work with a team of Electrical, Communications, Information Assurance and Aerospace Engineers, Logistic Specialists, Technical Writers, and Test Specialists to provide research, analysis, planning, engineering, assessments, development, and integration of software products (including firmware and embedded software components within hardware systems) that are compatible and interoperable with existing systems. This team will lead efforts contributing to the development and sustainment of small unmanned aerial systems to meet the margining needs of the warfighter as well as various intelligence organizations.
Responsibilities

    • Provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements.
    • Make recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
    • Perform risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.
Qualifications
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance
    • 12 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (Master's Preferred)
    • Experience in overseeing fabrication work and knowledge of quality control in relation to welding tolerances
    • Familiarity with Navy systems and processes
