Barbaricum is seeking a Cyber Specialist to provide support to the Maneuver, Surveillance and Engagement Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane.
This individual will work as part of a larger contract team supporting engineering, technical, and program support for software engineering and cyber engineering for expeditionary systems and product lines for the NSWC customer. This will include design, development, system integration, sensor and data fusion, data management, data mining, production, information assurance/cybersecurity, installation, rapid prototyping, Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Configuration Management, and sustainment for Information Technology and software-centric systems.
\n- Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up classified information and maintain operational security posture.
- Develop system security policies and ensure compliance of change management and configuration control processes.
- Plan and coordinate the IT security program and policies supporting the command leadership mission and goals.
- Maintain good relations with local Network Battalion or other network governing body (i.e., MCCOG)
- Work with units owning network connected systems
- Provide training of connected systems to units when requested (formal / informal)
- Join, manage, and maintain network connected machines in local region of operation by applying patches, fixing network issues, keep units well informed of issues and causes, and validate connectivity of systems.
- Create and maintain SOPs as required (i.e., Domain Join SOP)
- Manage, submit, and monitor accounts of region FSR’s (i.e., network administrator tokens) while keeping FSR lead up to date on account activities
- Work with Cyber Team by attending meetings, providing reports, voice common issues and trends with network assets.
- Work with co-located FSR’s by collaborating with re-imaging, non-network machines, tickets, and image EMSS PoR assets.
- Help develop training and test for EMSS PoR systems
- Develop tools and processes to simplify and/or automate tasks as necessary
- Keep TALONS up to date with EMSS PoR system information (i.e., barcode scan / version information)
- Develop SOP / walkthrough documentation for units
- Familiarize with PoR Playbook and other related Enterprise / Regional orders, directives, messages, etc. in regard to PoR assets and especially towards PoR network connected assets
- Coordinate with MCCOG, Network Bn, and MEF G-6 leadership to ensure all processes are followed
- DoD Secret Clearance required
- 2-5 years of practical experience in a Cybersecurity or Engineering field
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required
- Expert knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Control Assessor (SCA), DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Prior Experience with the Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- Possess one of the following certifications CCNA, Security CE, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP
