Compliance Developer

As a Barclays Compliance Developer, you will be building and deploying client-server and batch processing solutions in an agile environment. You will also be working with architects, developers, technical leads and business stakeholders to produce trade surveillance internal applications.

What will you be doing?
- Working with application architects and business stakeholders to design and implement durable technical solutions
- Ensuring the code written meets the predefined company and department standards
- Diagnosing and resolving defects found during SIT, QA, and UAT test phases
- Supporting production releases and assisting the production support team
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional Programming
- Practical knowledge of Java, ability to write classes and functions, understand and debug other developers’ code
- Practical knowledge of SQL, ability to write and execute queries
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience with the Spring API, Hibernate
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, RESTful API
- Experience with automated testing (JUnit) and deployment tools such as Nolio
- Experience with Python
