As a Barclays GTIS Service Manager, you will support the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) stability and resiliency agenda. In your new role you will possess a customer-centric mind-set to provide analytical support and stakeholder management to deliver an effective and sustainable service management approach between the GTIS Infrastructure teams, CIB application Run the Bank (RTB) and the CIB application teams.  You will need to have a solid technical background to help drive issue resolution and be able to engage with senior management to provide regular updates.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.

What will you be doing?

•    Holding weekly briefing sessions across the leadership team on infrastructure production stability
•    Providing insights into stability trends and updating on problem resolution
•    Driving service improvement programs, and leading change management programs 
•    Monitoring and providing insights on daily, weekly, and monthly incident trends whiling looking for themes for process improvement.  
•    Collaborating with technology and Application teams to ensure there is accountability and agreed strategic remediation
•    Providing support to the business, staying closely informed, and ensuring our infrastructure team has the right level of support engaged to resolve the issue


What we’re looking for:

•    Experience with Infrastructure Incident/ Problem management in a financial services organization
•    Customer-service Mindset, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Excels in working in a face-paced work environment, and ability to respond decisively to unexpected events
•    Ability to drive, monitor, and measure strategic actions end-to-end through completion

•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•    Ability to improve processes
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for the review and presentation of data
