Senior Investigation Manager

As a Barclays Senior Investigation Manager, you will support the Head of Americas Investigations & Whistleblowing in the development and management of the team, including the successful delivery of casework within the milestones and the promotion of the Whistleblowing program across the Americas region. You will operate in accordance with a defined investigations methodology and handbook in close collaboration with stakeholders across Barclays and with external agencies.

What will you be doing?
- Undertaking, managing and directing investigations into matters referred by the Global Compliance Whistleblowing Team and Barclays’ business entities, principally in the Americas
- Conducting investigations in accordance with Compliance Investigations methodology and the I&W handbook, utilizing the dedicated Case Management System
- Undertaking interviews, taking statements, analyzing facts, gathering evidence, smart use of e-communications reviews and technology, ability to compile investigation output
- Demonstrating curiosity, a risk management mind-set and commercial awareness during investigations to enhance the quality and thoroughness of the investigation
- Managing risk and impact across all business units and considering the impact of any lessons learnt
- Collaborating closely with the Directors of Investigations in order to ensure the timely delivery of reports which are thorough, accurate, robust and well written
- Participating in criminal, civil and disciplinary proceedings as and when required
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working in the financial services industry, with a major company in another sector or in an investigative public body or an investigative function
- Deep understanding and experience of banking products and services and/ or equivalent financial institution
- Excellent written, communication, organizational and presentation skills and excellent logical reasoning skills, with good attention to detail
- Computer literate with knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Windows packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Extensive professional experience in conducting and managing significant investigations (at the same time) in a corporate environment
- Good knowledge and experience of completing e-communications reviews using various platforms and using the latest methods of approach to improve output and efficiency
- Experience of operating at senior levels within the Bank
- Proven track record of delivery and Management/ Leadership experience
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
