Project Manager

As a Barclays Project Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of projects to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards. You will typically manage three plus complex projects simultaneously and manage project teams (directly and indirectly) throughout the full delivery lifecycle. Lastly, you will be leading the delivery of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, and closure.

What will you be doing?
• Delivering projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards
• Leading and delivering of projects regarding the Data Management Technology pillar through reporting at CIO level forums to ensure active engagement on DMT campaigns
• Delivering of projects supporting the DMT pillar through planning, building roadmaps, managing resources, status reporting, and programme interdependencies with the business
• Working with management to help define and implement aspects of the strategy and vision
• Working with external teams (Network, Unix, Storage, Cloud, RTB) to interlock deliveries with Data Management Technology roadmap
• Translating gaps between current state architecture and strategy into a project plan/roadmap
What we’re looking for:
• Extensive experience in managing projects with medium to high complexity, business critical and large cross-functional team spanning multiple regions and functions
• Proven delivery project /program lead; and comfortable in both the technical details and overseeing delivery across a wide range of teams
• A knowledge of both agile and traditional project delivery methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation to Senior level stakeholders
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Presentation and communication skills, managing senior (MD Level) stakeholders
• Professional recognized Project/Programme management qualification or previous relevant experience
• A solid advocate and practitioner of Diversity and Inclusivity
• Good Financial industry knowledge, experience of working with Risk, Finance and Treasury functions
