Print Production Manager

Seeking an experienced and dynamic Print Production Manager to take our 15 yearly catalogs to the next level. How will you make a difference in our catalogs in 2023? This position works within the Creative Marketing team to conceptualize, create and produce catalogs and marketing campaigns used to promote products across all channels, while adhering to multiple brand guidelines to maintain consistency. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in catalog as well as have the ability to effectively design a wide variety of print and digital media with little direction. • Work with Creative department leadership to make sure the creative direction, product photography, and new product assortments are set in place for catalog production
• Create production schedules and follow through to ensure deadlines are met
• Manage the production process and resources of multiple catalogs, from concept through press approval, for accurate and on time deliveries - with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
• Oversee graphic design and image work for production of catalogs and marketing campaigns
• Innovate improvements in departmental procedures to increase efficiency and quality
• Proofread catalogs and website for updated copy and images and communicate edits to freelance graphic designers
• Troubleshoot to resolve production issues
• Work with print vendors to upload final print ready files
• Responsible for the design, organization and purchase of company print orders such as business cards, sell sheets and related marketing material
• Foster and manage positive working relationships with external partners and outside graphic designers

Graphic Design Responsiblities:

• Collaborates with creative team to plan, organize, execute and analyze assigned projects
• Think creatively to produce unique ideas and concepts for catalog covers and layouts
• Ability to set up complex stylesheets and templates in InDesign
• Knowledge of catalog automation such as InRiver PIM and EasyCatalog
• Reach out and collaborate with product development team on design details and image manipulation
• Monitor and maintain corporate graphic standards across all brands
• Prepare files for web and print

Qualifications:

• College degree in communications, marketing or graphic/web design and in-depth knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• 8–10 years’ experience in project or production management and graphic design preferably in an agency or in-house creative department
• Enthusiastic, creative and detailed oriented
• Must be flexible, self-motivated, and able to set goals and develop projects
• Very organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have experience with catalog
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
• Ability to work well under deadline pressure
• Prolong sitting at a desk and working on a computer
