Bartender

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Bartenders for our innovative and unique Dog Bar. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for mixing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring compliance with alcohol serving laws and regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar area, as well as fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for both canine and human patrons.

Responsibilities:

• Have a thorough understanding of different types of alcohol, cocktails, and drink recipes.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to customer preferences and recipes.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking orders, and providing recommendations when necessary.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately, and process payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol serving laws and regulations, and maintain a safe environment for both customers, staff and our canine companions.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Handle difficult or intoxicated customers professionally, and know when to involve management if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age with proven experience in bartending.
• A strong understanding of different types of alcohol, cocktails, and drink recipes is essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as well as a passion for dogs and an understanding of canine behavior and well-being.
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities, with great attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Schedule flexibility preferred - will include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
